Course Overview

 

This course aims to address the development of essential knowledge, understanding and skills within the area of Graphics, required by technology teachers, in relation to the secondary technology curriculum. The course also seeks to provide technology students with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to support their design and engineering education.

 

The focus of the course is on the use of manual sketching, illustration and presentation using media such as pencil, marker pens and pastel. The course also includes manual draughting and technical graphics as a basis for future development on computer aided drawing and to help students interpet drawings likely to be used in school for Graphic Communication, Design and Manufacture and Practical Craft / Engineering courses.
